Condolences

Condolence From: Kathryn Sauro & Gord Ramey
Condolence: And so that Kroll generation is now all reunited somewhere other than here with us. What a remarkable family they were. How fortunate I was to have them as part of my heritage. Let us be sure to share their life stories with our younger generations. What a legacy!

Condolence From: Sylvia (Sibby)
Condolence: Uncle Pete was a sweetie-pie - always a smile on his face and a giggle too. He, along with his brothers and sisters, were such a hard working, generous, and loving family. Albeit missed, now they can all rest together - deservedly so.

Condolence: Peter enjoyed a long life and was able to fish well into his nineties - what an adventurous life he lived. He made a great contribution to the war effort as a member of the famous Black Devils Brigade and raising two children. In August 2010 I asked Peter why he had lived so long. He replied: " It’s eating fresh vegetables from my garden all these years.” He talked about how he loved catching pickerel in Balsam Lake. He added that during the long wartime marches, the officers did not have to carry backpacks but he never let any of those fellows pass him on principle. Peter was a proud, articulate fellow. We needed tough, resilient folks like Peter to win the war. Brian and I send our deepest sympathy to the family on your loss. We feel so grateful to those WWII vets.
