Obituary for Helen Marjorie Charette

Helen Marjorie Charette
(nee Dowdall)

Feb 4, 1947 to Apr 20, 2018

It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of Helen Marjorie Charette. Helen is lovingly remembered by her children Jennifer Clark, Jason Charette and his wife Amy. Helen was a devoted Nana to Zachary, Emily, Casey, and Cynthia.
She will be dearly missed by her long-term friend Tom. Helen was very active in her community and involved with the passions her grandchildren taught her including fishing, riding, karate, robotics, and dance.

She was always open to learning new things and meeting new people. She volunteered with numerous organizations and schools, most recently at Dr. Robert Thornton where she won over the hearts of students and staff. She had a love of baking for special occasions and her treats were enjoyed by many.

In lieu of flowers and to honour Helen’s love of reading and volunteering to help children learn, please make donations to The Children’s Book Bank and help keep the cycle of childhood joy of books alive. She will be fondly missed by her many friends and family as she was taken much too fast and early. As per Helen’s wishes a Celebration of Life will be held Friday April 27th at:

Yorkminster Park Baptist Church, 1585 Yonge Street, Toronto, Ontario
3:00 pm to 6:00 pm with a short service at 4:00 pm
