Golf was Jack's passion as far back as I can remember. First memory was hearing about how good he was at the Tam O"Shanter golf course in the 1950's and then at Forest Hills, also in the 1950's. Our family joined the Whitevale Golf Club in 1959 and there was Jack, a member of the Board of Directors. When Jack moved to the USA, Jack Boyes (owner of Wjitevale Golf Club) honored Jack with a Lifetime Honoree Membership for his contributions to the club and his golf accomplishments. I remember Jack for his special golf grip and for his love of a few beers after the round. Can't ever remember Jack hitting any practice balls before teeing off. Amazing. If you want to really see what Jack was able to accomplish at golf, visit the Whitevale Golf Club site and look at the Wall Of Fame section. My wife Gail and I enjoyed many dinners at the home of Eleanor and Jack where story telling of our golf times together would take Jack back to his time in England and Firestone USA. My parting memory of Jack is his telling how he played golf in his 90"s, he could hit most greens in regulation by taking the ball way up the fairway before teeing off so that he could hit the green in regulation, and then never taking more than two putts (next one was always good). Thanks for the memories and God speed Jack. Bruce
