Obituary for Angela Helena Fitzsimmons (Gillis)
Angela Fitzsimmons passed away Saturday January 7th, 2023 at the age of 89 surrounded by her family. Devoted wife of James Fitzsimmons (predeceased). Loving Mother to Ken (Carm), Sandy (Rob-predeceased), Gary (Maureen) and Brian (Anthony). Loving Grandmother to Jessica (Jared), Kayla (Nick), Rachel (Mitch), Amanda, Samantha (Marco) and to Great Grandchildren Nikola and Daniel. Sister to Victor (predeceased), Dolores (predeceased), Rita, Hubert “Red” (predeceased) and Dave. Dear Friend to Shirley, Maureen, Gladys and Shelagh (predeceased).
Angela had a full, active life and was always ahead of her time. She and James had wonderful adventures together - skiing, travelling, dancing & cottaging. She enjoyed her independence through her clothing sales business, social involvement with Toastmasters and getting lost in a good book. Angela poured her unconditional love into her children and grandchildren.
Visitation will be at Barnes Memorial Funeral Home in Whitby, on Sunday January 15th at 1pm, with a Service beginning at 2pm. Reception to follow the Service.
