Obituary for Ava Paulette Burton (Pryce)

Ava Burton, affectionately known to her extended family as Julie, died in Whitby Ontario on, October 24th. She was born in Spanish Town Jamaica on July 5th 1963 to Codworth Pryce and Tatilda Noble. She migrated to Canada, August 1977 to join her father and step-mother, June Pryce.
Initially Ava worked in the Health Care Industry, but later found Administrative Positions more fulfilling, her favourite place of employment being the MS Society of Canada.
She was married to Philip Burton who predeceased her in May 2021. Ava and Philip were married for 32 wonderful years and had one son, Joshua.
Ava loved crafts, making unique pieces of art, painting and sewing cushions on which she would inscribe lines of scripture or other positive words. She had a passion for gardening, healthy herbs being her favourite plants to grow and eat. She was fascinated with butterflies, hence her favourite emoji.
She had a remarkable personality and an exceptionally generous spirit. Staging homes was definitely her forte. She was always striving to create a clutter free environment which she enjoyed most.
Ava was an avid reader. Her favourite book, the Bible, she was eloquent and self-confident, never ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and was always excited and willing to share her faith. One of her favourite Scripture verses Isaiah 26 v. 3 - 4 "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on thee, because he trusteth in thee. Trust in the Lord forever, for in the Lord Jehovah is Everlasting strength.”
Ava is survived by her son Joshua, her dad, stepmother, Her Brother Kevin, her Sister Jenelle and many other members of the Pryce, Nelson, Grants Burtons Noble family and friends.
