Earl Vincent Ross, age 74, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 13, 2023, at Lakeridge Health Oshawa Hospital surrounded by his three children. He was the son of the Late Lewis & Marjorie May Flint Ross. Earl was born and raised in the community of East Preston, Nova Scotia. He moved to Ontario at the age of 16 and pursued his education, eventually becoming a highly skilled upholsterer. He dedicated over 30 years of his life working alongside his best friend, Mitchell Sparks, at Global Upholstery in Toronto. After retiring from Global, Earl embarked on a new venture, opening his own construction business with his son, Muhammad. Earl is survived by his three children, Jennifer (Michael) Ross-Coles, Muhammad Ross, and Shad (Leah) Ross. He was a cherished grandfather to eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. He was the brother of Florence (William) Carter, Rosemarie Cromwell and Kathy (Harry) Vanderhoek.
He was predeceased by his wife Sharon Baldwin Ross, brothers George, John and Raymond Ross. Earl will always be remembered as a loving son, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.

Visitation will be at 1:00 pm Saturday, October 28, 2023. A memorial service at 1:30 pm Saturday with a light reception to follow, all to take place at Barnes Memorial Funeral Home, 5295 Thickson Road North, Whitby, ON.
