Obituary for Gerald Sidney Gibbs
Gerald Sidney Gibbs, born on January 30, 1937. It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Gerald on July 12, 2021 at the age of 84 in the Lakeridge Oshawa Hospital palliative care for his health complications with cancer, heart and dementia.
Loving husband and Best friend of Betty Gibbs for over 61 years. Much loved Dad of Raymond Gibbs and Shelley Sweeting and her husband Darrin Sweeting. Grandfather of Tyler Sweeting and Jessica Mathieu.
Gerald worked most of his career with General Motors, and was a loyal, loving husband and father and always there to help family and friends. He was the rock and hero of our family!!
He will be remembered and missed by his family, friends and all of those who knew him.
With Gerald’s wishes we had a small family service on July 13, 2021.
Donations to the Lakeridge Health Foundations (Cancer Care) or the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
