Condolence: I was deeply saddened by the news of John’s passing. John was such a great person – I had the privilege of golfing with him and Duncan at the Golfers’ Dream GC- a great story teller, much wisdom and a unique sense of humour. Also, he was very proud of caring son, Duncan! John will live on in our memories forever. My heartfelt condolences to Duncan and the family. Bashir

Condolence: John was one of the most open and encouraging men that I have known. Always with a smile, interested in our lives and never at a loss for words. When I last saw him (July 1), he suggested Richard and I go golfing at Warkworth and at Pine Ridge. We plan to do that later this month and we will take our memories of John to the course with us. My most sincere condolences - my thoughts are with you.

Condolence From: Richard De Gaetano
Condolence: Despite seeing John one week before he died, it was still a shock to hear that he was no longer with us. I have such vivid memories of him in his prime, from the wedding to Blanche, to convincing me to get back into golfing, to me beating him (finally) at darts in the basement. I so wanted to ride my motorcycle out to visit them, to show John my new toy. I know he would be very interested in anything that I was doing, would tell me stories of when he was a lad and riding a bike, and he would always be encouraging. But, it didn't happen. It's very sad to lose someone as special as John. We'll miss him and won't ever forget him.

Condolence From: Arnold Augustin
Condolence: To the memory of John. I will always treasure the golfing memories that John, Ted and Duncan and I had whilst playing our annual Golf matches at the Dream, Kedron and the autumn event at Warkworth to end our season. John was at his happiest on the course and relished in the never ending quest to excel at the game. my last time with him was watching the US open together. John was a giving soul who would help when he could and I enjoyed his company dearly. I shall be away for the celebration of his life but both Heather and I wish to send our love and condolences to the family and to his many friends. I know John would also wish us all to remember the good times and hoist a few to the memories. I will look forward to his tribute round at the Dream. Sincerely Arny Augustin
