Passed away at the Village of Taunton Mills on Thursday November 30th, 2023 at the age of 82. Beloved husband of Linda Moore for 57 years. Much loved Dad of Karen Dilley and her husband Shawn and Lesley Steele and her husband Sam. Cherished grandfather of Jake, Kathleen, Thomas and Victoria. Brother-In-law of Bob Parks and Fred Parks and his wife Holly. Remembered by his nephews Wilson and Harrison.
John will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was dedicated to his profession, both as an electrician, and later as an electrical safety inspector. John valued a strong work ethic but nothing was more important to him than his family. John’s grandchildren will remember his active involvement in all their interests. He lived life to the fullest, and will be dearly missed.
A special thank you to the staff at Taunton Mills for their kindness, care, and attention they provided to John.
A Celebration of Life reception will be held Monday, December 4th, 2023, anytime between 2:00 – 4:00 pm at Barnes Memorial Funeral Home, 5295 Thickson Road North, Whitby, ON. A private interment will take place at Groveside Cemetery, Whitby at a later date.
In memory of John donations may be made to the Sam and Ida Ross Memory Clinic or to the Alzheimer’s Society.
