It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of John Bowman Spratt of Whitby, Ontario.
John passed away peacefully on April 6th, 2023 in his 62nd year. He will be deeply missed by his father John MacLaren Spratt. Cherished father of Taylor (Jennifer Martin) and Lauren (Steven Hook). Dear grandfather “Poppy” of Logan and Declan. Best friend and the love of his life, Shari Lynn Spratt. Dear brother of Jane (Phil Gibbens) and Peter (Liz). John will be fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews and many close friends. He is predeceased by his mother Ruth Spratt (2013). Many thanks to the caring professionals at Oak Ridges Hospice.
Please join us in celebrating his life. Visitation at Barnes Memorial Funeral Home, 5295 Thickson Rd. N. on April 10 from 6-8 pm and April 11 from 10-11:30 am, followed by a commemorative service in the chapel at 11:30 am. Burial to follow at St. John The Evangelist Cemetery, Whitby.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to UHN Foundation, Oak Ridges Hospice, Durham Region Hospice – Whitby, Canadian Wildlife Federation or Lakeridge Health Foundation.
