I’m so saddened to learn of Phyllis passing away. She was my Sunday school teacher when I was a teenager and she taught me a lot. Her fervour for the Lord and prayers for me were truly a blessing in my life. Before I went on a 6-week family trip to Germany and Europe in the summer of 1977, Phyllis gave me a travel journal, which I treasure to this day because of the memories stored in it, along with her thoughtfulness and the inscription wishing me a wonderful trip. Truly Phyllis was a kind and loving daughter of our Lord, who knew her Bible too. I am so glad to know I’ll see her in heaven one day and that she is receiving the reward of her godly life.

Phyllis was first and foremost a faithful follower of Jesus Christ. Though never a wife or mother, she was like a second Mom to many of us, young and old - filled with wisdom, kindness, love, godly character and vibrant stories of the past. Family was so highly valued by Phyllis. A loving Aunt, Great Aunt and Great, Great Aunt, she conducted frequent tours of the beautiful pictures on her walls. She was loved by many. Phyllis was a strategic founding member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, a tireless part of the team for decades. She's more alive and alert now than she's ever been, because of her personal relationship with her loving, forgiving, life-giving Lord Jesus Christ! Victory in Jesus! We'll see you again in Heaven - someday soon! Doug & Zina Galbraith
