With deepest sorrow, we announce that Stefan Luke Balkissoon, age 33, our eldest beloved son, brother, family member and friend, passed away on Thursday, July 14, 2022. Stefan was born on March 10, 1989 and left us on July 14, 2022.
Stefan is so deeply loved by his father, Bob Balkissoon, his mother, Pat Balkissoon, his grieving brothers, Adam, Kyle, Evin and his nephew Jayden. His loving aunts, uncles, cousins and his many, many friends rejoice in having him in their lives.
We firmly believe that Stefan is with the Lord, joining his grandmothers, Chow Mein Granny and Puja Grandma, as he fondly called them, his cousin Joshua and other family members.
The very first sympathy card received was from his best buddies. The sentiments hand-written on the card say it all:
• We will miss Stefan for all he was
• His warm heart
• His positive attitude and
• His contagious laugh.
We love you Sunshine, more than there are “stars in the sky, fish in the sea and grains of sand on the beach”.
Visitation at Barnes Memorial Funeral Home, Monday July 25th, from 12:30 – 1:30 pm
Funeral service will follow in the Barnes Chapel Monday afternoon at 1:30 pm with a reception immediately following. All, if able, are invited to wear something red to honour Stefan.
Flowers are gratefully declined. The family has asked in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a charity of your choice or carry out an act of kindness.
