It is with great sadness the family of William (Richard) Flitton announce his peaceful passing at the age of 92. Predeceased by his wife of 41 years Barbara Edith (nee Beattie) (2002) and his daughter Kathyrn Ann (1967). Survived by his loving children David, John and Jennifer. He also had a special place in his heart for The Reverend Dawn Gilby.
Witness to 11 decades , Dad grew up in rural England. As a child , he had a love for bicycling and a deep fascination for all types of planes. He turned that fascination into earning his private pilots license in 1977 at age 48. A devoted Blue Jay fan , he followed them from their first pitch in 1977 to Spring Training 2022.
His was a simple life well-lived. We miss you already Dad.
Visitation will be held on Friday April8 , 2022 from 10am to Noon at Barnes Funeral Home , 5295 Thickson Rd. N. Whitby. A private graveside service to follow.
