Ruby and my mother, Carol MacNaughton, became fast friends when Ruby moved to Uxbridge a few houses down from my parents' home. When both were newly widowed, they began a series of adventures travelling the world (literally!), wintering at Ruby's Florida residence and relaxing at our family cottage in the summers. The two were best friends and got together daily. They did a lot of laughing and made many friends on their travels. Ruby was always ready to explore new places and things. She was fun-loving with a quick wit and sense of humour. She became an extended member of our family and joined us at many family events. We were blessed to have her in our lives. She will be missed.
