EmailI have been working in funeral homes for over 35 years, and have been licensed for 30 of those years. I began my career as a teenager washing cars, driving funeral cars, general maintenance and other various duties around the local funeral home. As a young man with a very young family, I graduated from Humber College with my Ontario Funeral Director's License and have never looked back.
I take great pride in this business and offer each family the compassion and trust they deserve.

EmailI am a book keeper by trade but have also been involved in the funeral business since I married my husband Rick. I am co-owner of Barnes Memorial Funeral Home, I often find that I refer to myself as Rick's wife and Melissa's mom. I am our office administrator, I enjoy greeting families and friends in the lobby during visitations, and can often be found at the doors of the lobby in the evening meeting people as they arrive. I am honoured to serve each of our families, and your trust is not something I take for granted.

I have been involved within the funeral home my entire life, I was basically born into it. As a teenager I would help my parents at the funeral home by greeting people at the door during visitations, setting up, cleaning and washing cars. It wasn't until 2007 that I decided to apply to Humber College for funeral service education. I have been a part of Barnes Memorial Funeral Home ever since and have been a licensed director since 2010. I am privileged to work with each family and strive for excellence every day.
