Obituary for Eileen Cook

Passed away at Winbourne Park LTC with family by her side on Friday April 29th, 2016 in her 87th year.

Pre-deceased by her loving husband of 45 years Cyril Cook (1995)

Loved and cherished Mom of Bev Smith and her husband Dennis of Ashburn and Janice Clarke and her husband Brian of Ajax. Loving and adored Grandma of Allison, Andrew, Patrick, Amy and Victoria.

Very fondly remembered always by her lifelong friend Muriel Smillie as well as her nieces and nephews in England and many close friends, especially within Girl Guides.

Eileen was born in York England in 1930 and immigrated to Canada in 1953 as a young bride with her husband Cyril to start a new life together. Eileen and Cyril were blessed with two beautiful daughters and their families. Eileen was a passionate world traveller, a proud lifelong member of Girl Guides, an avid sewer and camper. Eileen always had a smile, loved a good laugh and had a great, often mischievous, sense of fun. Making friends wherever she went was her special gift.

Eileen's family would like to thank the many wonderful people put into her path, including all those who cared for her while at Lynde Creek Manor and Winbourne Park.

We are heartbroken in the loss of our precious Mom, Grandma and wonderful friend but we are left with precious memories that will be with us always. Her beautiful blue eyes and sweet smile will never be forgotten. Eileen has left on her next adventure...
