Ivanka Gimpelj (nee Bricelj)
Passed away peacefully on Monday May 16th, 2016 with her family present, at the age of 88.
Pre-deceased by her husband Matija (2003).
Much loved mother of Matt of Markham, Paul of Oshawa, Ed of Wasaga Beach, Dorothy of Barrie and Jane of Langley B.C.
Loving Grandma of Olivia and Dylan.
Dear sister of Marie Vodisek (late Godfrey) of Peoria Illinois, Vida Slavic (late Ivan) of Slovenia, Franc Bricelj (Draga) of Slovenia and Joza Gregorc (Franc) of Slovenia. Pre-deceased by sister Pavla Adanic (Janko) of Slovenia.
Ivanka will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews and their families, the extended Gimpelj family as well as her many long time friends.
Visitation at Barnes Memorial Funeral Home, 5295 Thickson Rd. N. Whitby from 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 21, 2016 until time of funeral service in the Barnes Chapel Saturday at Noon.
In memory of Ivanka, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Denise House (Oshawa) would be appreciated.

Interment will follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery in Whitby.
