Condolence: Dear Margaret,

I am so saddened to hear about the passing of John. I fondly remember working with both of you at Goliger's Travel in Pickering. John was such a kind and gentle man and the best boss in the world!

You are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Condolence: To: The Family of John Ferris

Sorry to hear of the passing of your loved one.

I first met Mr. Ferris in September 2009 while conducting a Stewardship Assessment at Hope Community Church. Then, in April 2010 I returned to complete a 9-day on-site Stewardship Campaign during which time I was very privileged & blessed to be accepted as one of his many friends and, to some extent, his genuine Christian concern and care for me made me feel like his adopted son. Undoubtedly, he was a great Man of God.
Therefore, as a family, you need not grieve as those with no hope. Indeed, you can rejoice in the knowledge and assurance of II Cor. 5:8 that..”to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.” Rest assured that death for the Christian is not a dark journey into the unknown. It is not a lonely walk into a strange and friendless place. Rather, it is a glorious transition from the trials of earth into the joys of heaven, where we will be reunited with our loved ones in Christ who have gone before. Best of all, we will enjoy the presence of our Lord forever.

Today, John is at peace and free from pain in the presence of the One whom he faithfully and lovingly served here on earth. This ‘Man of God’ has gone home.
Be assured of my prayers as you pass through this difficult storm in your lives.

Condolence: My deepest condolences to the Ferris family, I am friends with John through the DCBE where we were both members, after John left the group we continued to use his Travel Agency from the Goliger days to the present day Marlin. I was very admiring of his volunteer work with the Salvation Army which became my charity of choice after seeing the amazing goodwill through John.He will be deeply missed.

His smiling face was often the first I would see in the lobby before the service.
