Condolence: I just received a call from Gary Kelly who informed me of Bob's untimely death.
This was a shocking and sad piece of news and while I hadn't seen Bob in a while, I was keenly aware of his vigorous nature in past years and his pragmatic view of his life and times. To think of the essence of Bob, you only have to remember his part in our span of years with BMO and his impact on them...and conclude that he took what would ordinarily be considered very serious business and reduce it to the fun and context that defined Bob and many of his friends and coworkers....it was a much different time back then. Not that the job didn't get done...Bob was very good at what he did and very dedicated to the Bank . We were more for having known Bob and less now because of his passing. God love and keep him.
