Our condolences to Carmela (Tim), Paolo (Angie), Maria-Rita (Sam) and to all other mourning, significant others in the Calleri / ( Russica) clan from Sal. (Patricia) Minardi and family: (Eric ( Amanda) , Daniel and Patrick and special prayers, thoughts and condolences from Nonna Minardi ( Comare Santina ). We all share in your loss during this sad time but in a heartfelt way, that can help to lessen the loss, we have some fond memories of some times/moments to hold on to...... when in those times, our families got together while growing up in Toronto. Comare Nannetta and Compare "BA" Gianni's names were always heard around our house and specifically one moment to remember is when our mother, Comare Santina Minardi (Padrina to Carmela - Parinna in Pachinese) got off the phone one day and couldn't believe the amazing news as she was telling us that Comare Nannetta just got her Ontario driver's license !!! Forget Gloria Steinem and the Women's Lib. movement in the 60's to the 80's in those times as Comare Nannetta for an Italian-Canadian woman in Toronto for the time she was in....... was way ahead of her time !!! ........ Somewhere in one of the Minardi family albums (if I am not mistaken) are some Calleri / Minardi family pictures and there is a picture of Compare "BA" Gianni with a big smile on his face pointing down to a heavy pale full of fish from a fresh catch from some times shared with the families at Rice Lake, I believe. As many other Italian-Canadian families have done, Comare Nannetta and Compare "BA" Gianni have certainly left their mark and along with our parents, we now are the " fish " that they have spawned left here now to carry on and with their smiles looking down at us now..... may we take this time to wish that they now rest eternally in peace together.

My condolences to my cousins and their families for the loss of their mom, my Aunt Nina. May she rest in peace. Aunt Nina has now been reunited with Uncle John and all the others who have passed along with my mom and dad. I'm hoping they are having one big party. Aunt Nina I miss you. πŸ’•πŸ™
