The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Dana Watson can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence From: Jacqueline & Andrew (Whitby 9th Beavers)
Condolence: We had our youth camping at Samac this weekend, and made our traditional hike to Memory Lane. After visiting the memorial plaques, we gathered the colony and explained that one of the Whitby Venturers had gone to heaven. We then laid a "Gone Home" sign in birdseed in memory of Dana. We explained to the Beavers and their parents in attendance that we used Birdseed so we would not harm the earth and that since Dana enjoyed Camp Samac as much as they did, she could look down from heaven and be happy they were looking after the birds and animals. As 42 people stood quietly, a Cardinal approached the seed. One of the youth commented "look she sent a bird, so she sees us in heaven". May you know that Dana will forever remain in the hearts of those that knew her. May your cherished memories bring you peace during this very painful time.
