I was so sorry to [belatedly] hear of Jay's passing. Every time I saw him in the office or at meetings over the years, or spoke to him on the phone, he was unfailingly cheerful and pleasant, and ready to help in any way he could. My sincere condolences to all of you, I can only imagine how much you will miss him. On behalf of Jerry and myself, our deepest sympathies.

I worked with Jay for many years in the Elevator trade at Northern Elevator in both construction and in the downtown maintenance department. We both started in the trade at around the same time, many years ago. A hard worker; he always had a smile for everyone, everyday. I also recall that he always spoke of his wife and children with great love and pride. My thoughts and condolences are with them...

Kathy, my heart goes out to you and your family. Jay was more than a work companion to me, he was also a great friend and confidant. He would often tell me stories of family and gatherings where the grandchildren would run around while he was trying to watch golf events like the Masters on TV. Hearing those stories made me feel like part of the family. Even though he sometimes said that his children, Justin, Jesse, Jenna and spouses included were a pain, I know he deeply loves them all.

Rest in piece my friend.

My beautiful brother Jay was a bright shining light. He was a special person and I will not be the same for having lost him, until I see him again.
