Obituary for Michael Bamrah

Michael Bamrah

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Michael Bamrah on Thursday Oct. 2,2014 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa at the age of 80.

Beloved husband of Doris and father of Peter and his wife Darlene. Loved Grandpa of Nicole, Tyler and Brandon.

Michael was born in Northern India, lived part time in Germany and came to Canada in 1966 where he lived and worked for many years in Toronto.

In 2004 he moved to Whitby where he most enjoyed his daily walks or bike rides on Country Lane North in the summer and winter, and got to know many of the residents there. Michael also traveled to many countries over the years but Canada always remained his favorite.

He loved to work in his gardens, and even received Communities in Bloom nominations.

Michael had a few passions, one was doing the annual CN Tower climb for World Wild Life fund, and the other was photography, and was also a long-time supporter of Unicef.

Visitation at Barnes Memorial Funeral Home, 5295 Thickson Rd. N. Whitby (905-655-3662) from 1:00 p.m. Tuesday until time of service in the Barnes Chapel Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 p.m.

Interment will follow at Thornton Cemetery, Oshawa.

In memory of Michael, memorial donations to Unicef would be appreciated.
