Hello all, I saw in Christian Courier that your dear brother Pieter had passed away. I'm thinking of you and sending my warm sympathy to you and your dear family. I remember how caring the family was when my daughter Karen stayed at your place for a week when she was a baby, and we (Jerry and I) were out of town. I want to wish you all strength, I remember your family well and send my greetings to you all. God's special Blessing and Peace to all of your family.
With warm thoughts, Wynne Vandezande

Hello Mary , Lambert [sp?] and Ina, Sarah and others,

I was shocked to see the obituary of your brother Peter in the Christian Courier. I have fond memories of Peter when we both were in Grade 13 at Thistletown Collegiate. Peter, John Vansloten or VanderSloot? and I would study together for the exams.[John and I were older than Peter . I wanted to go to Teachers College and needed grade 13.] Later I met Peter at Christian Schools Teachers' conventions and then we both became principals ; Peter in Stratford Christian School and I in Brantford Christian School. We would meet at Principals' retreats twice a year and we would reminisce about our younger days at second Christian Reformed Church on Albion Rd. Peter and I were teamed together once or twice to do some Christian School evaluations. It meant that we would spend two days together. We ate our meals at restaurants to eat and to work on our evaluation report. We had a lot of fun because Peter was a dramatist and he had me laughing all the time.
Please accept my condolences. I know that you will miss him.
Peace and Blessings

“Mr. Van Manen” was my all-time most favourite teacher! He was my grade 5/6 teacher in the Wallaceburg Christian School.
It then became my privilege to become his Administrative Assistant when he was Principal of the same school years later.
Great man of faith ✝️
My sincere condolences to the family.
Olga DePooter nee Korvemaker.
