Obituary for Rita Paterson (Duffy)
Passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on March 8th in her 76th year.
Beloved wife of Bert Paterson of Oshawa for 43 years.
Loved and loving mom of Rhoda and her husband Nelson and Brenda. Cherished grandma of Tracy and her husband Adam, Robyn, Jennifer and David. Loving great-grandma of Rylan and Everett.
Rita is lovingly remembered by her Brother Bill and his wife Liz.
A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Devost and Dr. McAllister, the Palliative Care Team at Lakeridge Health Oshawa as well as the CCAC Homecare Staff for their care and compassion.
A celebration of Rita’s life will be held at Barnes Memorial Funeral Home 5295 Thickson Rd. N. Whitby on Sunday March 13th at 2:00 p.m. followed by a reception.
In memory of Rita, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
