The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Karen Clarke can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Obituary for Karen Anne Clarke (Bird)

Passed away with her family by her side at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Sunday April 17th, 2016 in her 66th year.

Dearly loved wife of Burt Clarke of Whitby. Loved and most cherished mom of Kathlyn McHugh and her husband Stephen of Victoria B.C., Jonah Kelly and his wife Joycelyn of Whitby, Bradley Clarke and his wife Leanna of Nelson B.C. and Leslie Farrell of Nelson B.C.

Most wonderful Grandma of Maddy, Kaleb, Moyra, Anderson, Maya, Alexis, Violet and Annabelle.
Dear sister of Leslie Innes (late Scott), Ron Bird (Sandra) and William Bird (Margaret) and sister-in-law of Fern Matthews (Ed).

Karen will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews and their families as well as countless friends.

A celebration of life reception will be held at Barnes Memorial Funeral Home, 5295 Thickson Rd. N Whitby on Saturday April 23rd, 2016. All are invited to drop in anytime between 2 and 4 pm to share memories and stories of Karen.
