Superwoman/Superman

Karen was such a kind, respectful, thoughtful, positive and fun person. I was lucky to have her for my cousin. My husband Bob and I visited her and Kathlyn and Jonah in Comox- remember Jonah that was when you were superman! I was so glad to have lunch with her and Burt  last summer along with my older brother Glen and his wife Ann. Karen was so happy to show us her sports car! She also shared a funny story about coming to help my mom take care of myself and  my 4 brothers. After we were all in bed one night her and mom snuck out to DQ for some ice cream and some well deserved R&R (don't worry the oldest was double digits). Her and mom remained close until mom passed, Karen was a blessing for my mom and they would talk on the phone for hours. Most recently I talked to Karen by phone and we shared the joys of being  grandmas. We wished each other happy birthday and she recommeded the book "The Room" as her latest best read.  Jonah and Kathlyn and their families were Karen's pride and joy. Burt was Karen's soul mate. Karen was an angel for all of us on earth and now she will be our angel in heaven with all the other "birds". Jonah you will always be her "superman" you have done such a great job with helping with all of this for your mom. I love the picture which was picked of her,  as always her light is truly shining through. Karen was a "super" woman! Although we cannot attend tomorrow Alberta is only a phone call away and you are welcome to call anytime.Hugs and kisses to all including my other cousins Leslie, Ronnie, Billy and their families. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Love always Audrey
